思源黑體是根據 Apache 2.0 授權 提供，使用者可以下載完整多國語言字體系列、個別語言子集，而 Google 也將以 Noto Sans CJK 這個名稱來發行此字體的自有版本。

不過 Google 和 Adobe 聯手推出了 Noto Sans CJK / Source Han Sans 字體，有七種粗細可以使用，其中一萬三千多種中文字可都符合教育部的標準字體，而且還是 Open Source 的唷！

當有文字無法顯示出來，必定造成我們閱讀的困擾，思源系列就是為了要解決這個問題。 思源黑體、思源宋體的英文在兩家公司間分別有不同的名稱，Google 稱為 Noto Sans / Serif，Adobe 則為 Source Han Sans / Serif，但基本上是一模一樣的。

思源黑體 （英語： Source Han Sans，Google公司以 Noto Sans CJK 的名稱釋出）是 Adobe 與 Google 所合作開發的 開源 字型 家族，屬於 無襯線 黑體。
